FAQs

Absolutely!  I offer remote services via my secure telehealth platform.  Or, I’m happy to meet with you in person at my Lake Bluff office.

I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Illinois PPO plans.  Please contact their Customer Service number to ensure I am in-network with your plan.

For clients carrying BCBS PPO plans with which I am in-network, your only financial responsibility will be to pay the amount of your plan’s deductible (which varies by plan) and/or co-pay.  Most of their plans only require a co-pay (typically $20 – $30 per visit).

For all other insurance companies, please contact them and ask, “What is your per-session reimbursement rate for CPT Code 90837 with an out-of-network provider?”  This is the amount they will reimburse you for each session.  You should also ask them if you have to meet an out-of-network deductible.

For clients carrying out-of-network insurance coverage, my fees are:  $160 for Individual Therapy and $225 for Couples Therapy.  You can determine your per-session cost by subtracting your insurance company’s reimbursement rate from my fee.  Monthly, I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

For Financial Therapy clients, rates range between $250 and $450 per hour, depending upon your situation’s complexity.

I require a 24-hour notice of cancellation.  Otherwise, you may be charged the full amount of the regular session fee.  Please note that these fees are not reimbursable by insurance.

For the greatest convenience, most clients choose to utilize my AutoPay feature utilizing a credit card.  This feature automatically charges your card for the amount owed after a session is completed.

Great question!  My family pronounces it “Titanic,” like the ship.
